Murder of a 16-year-old teenager: police custody continues
#MONTPELLIER. Tuesday February 6, near the Jules-Guesde high school, a teenager was attacked with a knife. He did not survive his injuries and died upon arrival at the hospital. The public prosecutor, Fabrice Bélargent, specified this Thursday that of the eight people placed in police custody, five were released.
Concerning the other three, a judicial investigation will be opened this Friday, February 9 on the charge of murder regarding the minor aged 15 who admitted to having carried out the fatal stabbing. But also of complicity in murder concerning two other minors. "According to initial investigations, the facts originated in an argument between two teenage girls.

And Vincent Ravel insists: "We are awaiting an explanation from Dreal of the impact of these pollutants on aquatic environments and ecosystems. For users, associations, communities, we cannot remain with record rates without knowing the impact this may have."
Jacques Blanc condemned
#LOZERE. The president of the Languedoc-Roussillon region from 1986 to 2004, Jacques Blanc, was convicted of breach of trust, for facts dating back to the time when he chaired the departmental tourism committee of Lozère. Justice accuses him of having granted a retirement bonus of some 64,000 € to his former director, even though his status as a seconded civil servant did not allow it.
Jacques Blanc receives a fine of 10,000 € suspended. He is also deprived of his right of eligibility for one year. With his co-defendant, who was sentenced to four years in prison and 10,000 € fine, they will have to repay the exact sum of 64,314.08 € to the committee.
Disappearance of Basile in Bordeaux: something new ?
#GIRONDE/HERAULT. This Wednesday, February 7, a body was found at Bassins à Flots in Bordeaux. According to France 3, it could be Basile Affret, a 21-year-old young man, who has been missing since mid-January. The Montpellier student went to Bordeaux to attend a DJ evening at the Iboat, a nightclub barge. He had been seen in the company of two young women in the night shortly before his disappearance. An autopsy should quickly shed light on the circumstances of the accident and thus confirm the identity of the victim.
