Iran is going to execute an Iranian who provided information to the United States and Israel about the movement of the general iranian Qassem Soleimani, killed by Washington in early January in Baghdad, has announced Tuesday from an official source in Tehran.

Mahmoud Mousavi Majd has been found guilty of having spied on the iranian armed forces, “in particular the irgc-Qods Force provides” and to have provided the CIA and the Mossad information on “travel and the whereabouts (his chief) general martyr Qassem Soleimani,” said the spokesman of the judiciary, Gholamhossein Esmaïli, during a press conference on television.

The sentencing to death of Mr. Majd, accused of having received large sums of money for his cooperation with the two intelligence services of the enemies of Iran, has been upheld by the supreme Court and “will be applied soon,” added Mr. Esmaïli without more precision.
