“It borders on obscurantism”: Karim Benzema filed a complaint against Eric Zemmour for defamation

Alors qu'Eric Zemmour avait déclaré que Karim Benzema était "un musulman qui veut appliquer la charia", l'ancien joueur de l'équipe de France de football a porté plainte pour diffamation contre le président du parti Reconquête. 

After filing a complaint against the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin after the latter claimed that the footballer had links with the Muslim Brotherhood organization, Karim Benzema filed a complaint again this Friday, January 19 . 

This time, the former player of the French team filed a complaint for defamation with the filing of a civil suit against Eric Zemmour, the president of the Reconquête party according to information from BFM TV and RMC.

Benzema and his lawyer Mr. Hugues Vigier actually base their complaint on comments made by the former candidate for the presidential election. 

"What I know is that he is a Muslim who wants to apply sharia, Zemmour declared on France 2. And that sharia provides Dhijad and that Jihad means killing Dominique Bernard, it means killing Samuel Paty."

Asked recently on BFM TV if he was going to file a complaint against Zemmour on behalf of his client, Me Vigier replied: "We are considering it very seriously. Time is short. If it happens, it will happen very soon. It's bordering on obscurantism.
