Italian flag-bearers parade and launch the Saint-Roch festivities in Montpellier

After being welcomed at the House of International Relations by Deputy Mayor Boris Bellanger and members of the Saint-Roch international association in Montpellier, the Italian delegation paraded to music in the city center.  

"It's no longer raining, Saint-Roch has kept its promises!" One hour before the parade of the delegation from Alba, a town in the Italian Piedmont, the president of the Saint-Roch international association in Montpellier, wears a big smile. The scars of the summer storm have dissipated to make way for the first parade marking the celebration of Saint-Roch, this Thursday evening, departing from the House of International Relations.

Historical costumes and manual skill

Dressed in historical costumes, around sixty flag throwers, musicians and costumed people aroused the curiosity of passers-by throughout their journeys. They will hit the streets of Montpellier again this Friday, August 16 from 9:30 a.m. throughout the morning, between the House of International Relations, the Saint-Roch church and the Saint-Pierre cathedral.
