Ce dimanche 21 janvier 2024, Bruno Le Maire, ministre de l'Economie, annoncé au JT de 20 heures de TF1 une augmentation du prix de l'électricité dès le 1er février prochain.
Electricity prices for off-peak and peak hours will increase by 9.8% from February 1 and those of the base rate will increase by 8.6%, announced this Sunday Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of the Economy, on the 8 p.m. news of TF1.
"A necessary decision"
"For a household which heats with electricity, which has an individual house, which has two children, this will be on average (an increase de, editor’s note) 18 euros per month. It's a difficult decision but it's a decision that is necessary to definitively get out of whatever it takes, we are getting back to normal", declared the Minister of the Economy.
The government promised last September that the price of electricity will not increase by more than 10% in 2024. Bruno Le Maire declared that the next increase in tariffs electricity should take place in February 2025 to return to the "situation which was that before the tariff shield".< /p>
Last April, the Minister of the Economy announced that he would give himself two years and aim for 2025 "to get out of the shield on electricity' ;quot;.
The price shield was put in place to limit increases due to the European energy crisis, against a backdrop of war in Ukraine and low availability of the French nuclear fleet.
