'It's a long healing process': Elton John reveals he suffered a serious eye infection that limited his vision

Elton John is slowly recovering from a serious eye infection that is affecting his vision, he explains in a post on his social networks on September 3.

Elton John is doing better. In a post on his Instagram account, the singer gives an update on his condition after having a serious eye infection.

“Over the summer I battled a severe eye infection that unfortunately left me with limited vision in one eye. I am healing but the process is extremely long and it will take time before I regain sight in the impacted eye", he explains.

"Optimistic"

While his healing is still in progress, he also expresses his gratitude "to the excellent team of doctors, nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the past many weeks".

The artist has not announced a return to the stage but says he is “optimistic about the progress made”. Many personalities have expressed their support in the comments. “I send you lots of love, get well soon”, writes Donatella Versace. “I send you good energies for your healing”, also says Rosanna Arquette.

Elton John's last concert dates back to July 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden, recalls Le Parisien. Shortly before, the pop icon had performed at the Accor Arena in Paris.
