“It’s completely false”: two weeks after Kendji Girac’s accident, his partner Soraya comes out of silence

Soraya, the wife of singer Kendji Girac who was shot on April 22, gave an exclusive interview to our colleagues from Le Parisien. She denies the theory of suicide blackmail that went wrong and gives news of Kendji.

She wants to cut short the "untruths". Two weeks after Kendji Girac's bullet wound, his partner, Soraya, came out of silence and told the Parisian her version of the facts.

As a reminder, the 27-year-old singer, winner of the third season of The Voice, shot himself on the morning of April 22, in his caravan on an area in Biscarrosse, in the Landes. After first saying that it was a "domestic accident", Kendji finally admitted to investigators that he wanted "to fake his suicide" to "to scare his wife" who threatened to leave him.

In the columns of our colleagues, the latter returns to the circumstances of this tragedy. She states in particular: "Kendji never blackmailed me into suicide, let things be clear. This never existed. I have never suffered the slightest violence whatsoever from him. I am categorical. He is incapable of it".

Soraya, who agrees for the first time to respond to the press since her meeting with the singer in 2014, goes on to explain to the daily that, contrary to what has been stated by the media, she is not left for Switzerland with her daughter directly after being interviewed by the gendarmes.

"This’is completely wrong. I was in the hospital with him, and I stayed by his side the whole time. Since she left the hospital, we have been together with our daughter, obviously. How could it be said that I had left France with our daughter? I don't understand how such information could have been published, she says, saying she is "surprised" that so many details about her private life and her relationship with Kendji have been revealed by the public prosecutor of Mont-de-Marsan during his press conference.

As for Kendji,"he is slowly recovering, but the news is reassuring", assures Soraya. "He will have to take it easy, rest, and think about what happened. But better days will come, I am convinced", continues the young woman, who plans to be next to the singer, with their daughter.
