It's official: a consultation with a general practitioner will cost you 30 euros from December

At the end of a final negotiation session between private doctors and Health Insurance, a draft agreement was concluded and unveiled this Friday, May 17. In particular, it provides for an increase in the price of medical consultations with a general practitioner, which will rise to 30 euros in December.

The consultation of general practitioners, today at the rate of 26.50 euros, will increase to 30 euros in December, according to a draft agreement between private doctors and Health Insurance unveiled this Friday, May 18.

This draft agreement, which also provides for upgrades for specialists and collective commitments for access to care, must now be ratified by a sufficiently representative group of unions to come into force.

The last increase in the price of a consultation with a general practitioner was 1.50 euros. It dates back to last November 1, after the failure of conventional negotiations a year ago.
