A young man attacked his girlfriend, in their home located in a town located north of Gard, and was sentenced, this Monday, March 25, in Alès, to one year of prison, half of which were suspended on probation. The defendant will not serve the fixed part of his sentence in detention…hellip;

They are young, have been dating for three years and have lived together in Gard, in Saint-Ambroix, for almost a year. On the evening of Friday March 22, an argument broke out about the dog… and it degenerates into a fight during which the boy, aged 21, strangles and hits his girlfriend. Result: she ends up with a broken nose and two teeth. When interviewed by the gendarmes, the victim mentioned two previous acts of violence, mainly strangulations.

Violence escalating

First placed in pre-trial detention, the spouse, integrated into society, is tried in immediate appearance this Monday, March 25, before the Alès criminal court.
