Les chats en question ont été jeté du haut d'un pont Unsplash

Filmé par sa petite amie en train de jeter des chatons d’un pont, un adolescent de 16 ans a été arrêté par la police et placé en garde à vue.

These are terrifying images which caused outrage on social networks. This Sunday, April 7, a 16-year-old teenager was filmed by his girlfriend on the Bruéjouls bridge, in Aveyron. Above a river, he holds a cardboard box containing cats which he throws one by one into the void.

The video is then shared by the author with a group of friends from a high school in Rodez in which one of the students then decides to broadcast the video widely public, reveals our colleagues from Centre Presse. TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat… The scene is making the rounds on social networks. First deleted, it was republished several times and now has 900 000 views and nearly 100 likes.

Taken into custody and questioned

Several animal rights associations were then scandalized by the scene, starting with Chat libre 12, and its president Séverine Mouysset who filed a complaint at the Rodez police station against animal abuse. ;nbsp;"It’is revolting", she says indignantly, again according to Center Presse.< /p>

Shortly after, the individual in question, unknown to the police, went to the police station to discuss the matter, before leaving free. This Tuesday morning, April 9, he was finally placed in police custody. Assisted by a lawyer, he admits the facts and should soon be summoned before a children's court.

"It’s mind-blowing. When we see what this person is capable of doing with kittens, we wonder how far he can go", comments Jean-Pierre Blanc, president of the’ local branch of the SPA. "We see a lot of hateful messages on social networks against this person. It’s staggering the proportions it took. Yes, it's serious, but from now on, we must let justice do its work", however tempers Séverine Mouysset of Chat libre 12.
