This Monday, March 4, 2024, deputies and senators adopted the inclusion of abortion in the Constitution. In total, 780 parliamentarians voted for, 72 voted against. Discover, in the region, the parliamentarians in favor of the text, those who were against and those who abstained.
After meeting in Congress at the Palace of Versailles, French senators and deputies finally said "yes" to the inclusion of abortion in the Constitution, Monday March 4, 2024.
The government text had to be voted on by at least 3/5ths of the members of Congress to be adopted. In total, 780 parliamentarians voted for, 72 voted against. 902 parliamentarians out of 925 took part in the vote, 852 votes were cast, according to announcements from the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet.
