Plusieurs intellectuels français sont mis en cause pour des crimes sexuels commis sur des mineurs, révèle Libération ce jeudi 13 juin 2024.

In a Libération investigation published this Thursday, June 13, 2024, several French intellectuals are implicated for child crimes that took place in the 1970s and 1980s.

Sexual "games"

Inès Chatin, 50 years old, testifies to "sexual games" and rapes committed by a group of men close to her adoptive father, Jean-François Lemaire , from the age of 4 to 13. The majority of the events allegedly took place at 97, rue du Bac, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.

Among them, the founder and historical director of Point Claude Imbert, the writer and member of the French Academy Jean-François Revel, the lawyer François Gibault, the writer Gabriel Matzneff, as well as his adoptive father.

The fiftieth-year-old recounts that during these "games", the men had their faces masked and wore "on them a sort of cape or coat& ;quot;. As the daily reveals, she had requested a hearing with the Paris prosecutor's office in the fall of 2023 to denounce these facts. Despite the limitation period, the prosecution opened a preliminary investigation on October 23.

Other testimonies

In addition to the testimony of Inès Chatin, the investigators from the Office for Minors (Ofmin) obtained that of two other children, also victims of the same facts, and a writing from & nbsp;big brother of Inès Chatin. The latter declared that he was associated with his sister's story "but did not wish to be further involved in her action so as not to plunge back into this painful past".

Rapes were also committed against Inès Chatin alone, by Claude Imbert and Gabriel Matzneff. "My father, he loved women, but not little girls. We are in the #MeToo era, it’s our McCarthyism", reacted the Imbert family through the voice of Jean-Luc Imbert, lawyer and son of Claude Imbert .
