Jegou-Auradou case: Complainant's lawyers claim to provide “highly valuable evidence” that could change everything in the investigation

The plaintiff's lawyers officially submitted a new document on Wednesday, October 9. They are thus requesting that the investigation continue while a dismissal hearing will take place on October 18.

While Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou returned to France 58 days after being arrested in Mendoza, Argentina, a new element could revive the case.

According to information from Parisien, this 14-page document was officially added to the file and presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Mendoza. It is said to be a medical certificate that was issued on October 3 and that states that the complainant “does not suffer from Willebrand disease”.

The dismissal hearing is maintained

This syndrome causes an alteration in blood clotting, which would explain the lesions present on the body of the alleged victim. In this document, Natacha Romano and Mauricio Cardello, the victim's representatives, describe this document as   "high-value evidence" and would thus request that the judicial investigation be continued.

However, the complainant had acknowledged, during a hearing with the prosecutor, that she suffered from this syndrome in its mildest stage, which she had been diagnosed with at the time of her "first pregnancy, twelve years ago". A finding that had never been established clinically.

This document provided comes a few days before the dismissal hearing, scheduled for October 18, in Mendoza.

However, “the hearing will take place”, confirmed Darió Nora, magistrate in charge of the case. For their part, the plaintiff's lawyers describe the dismissal requested by the ministry as "hasty" and "premature" and announce their "formal opposition".
