Joe Biden tied up in video: Democrats accuse Donald Trump of inciting “political violence”

This Friday, March 29, 2024, a video showing a pick-up on which we see an image of Joe Biden tied hands and feet was posted by Donald Trump's profile. Another slip-up for the former American president, leading to indignation from the Democratic camp.

In order to promote his candidacy for the 2024 American presidential election, Donald Trump posted this Friday, March 29, on social networks a video showing Joe Biden lying down and tied up the back of a pick-up.

"Political violence"

The American president's campaign team accused Donald Trump this Saturday, March 30, of inciting "political violence". "This image of Donald Trump is the kind of bullshit you post when you call for a butchery", attacked a spokesperson for the Joe Biden's campaign in a statement, referring to recent Republican remarks, recalls AFP cited by Ouest France.

The spokesperson added by recalling that Donald Trump's first term ended with an assault on the Capitol by hundreds of his supporters: "Trump regularly incites political violence and it's time people took him seriously.

Indeed, the video published on the network Truth Social shows two cars driving, decorated with several flags and stickers supporting the Republican. In the trunk of the second pickup, we see an image appearing representing Joe Biden bound hands and feet.

A publication condemned by the Democratic team, which sees it as a new and ever more violent response from the candidate in the presidential election next November which will pit the two men against each other.

Another slip-up…

Donald Trump has increased his violent remarks in recent months. He notably stated that the American economy would be "a butchery" if’it was not not re-elected. He also accused migrants of poisoning the blood of the country and that he was going to "eradicate communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left". Comments which aroused indignation among opponents.

"Democrats have not only called for despicable violence against President Trump and his family. They are weaponizing the legal system against him, said Steve Cheung, Donald Trump's spokesperson, referring to the legal cases in which the Republican is being prosecuted.
