Jordan Harris agrees with the Canadiens for two years

Defender Jordan Harris signed a two-year contract extension worth an average of $1.4 million annually with the Montreal Canadiens on Friday.
The two-year National Hockey League (NHL) entry deal the 22-year-old signed in March 2022 expired this summer. The American was expected to become a restricted free agent at the end of this season.

This season, the 5 ft, 11 in back has tallied 11 points, including one goal, in 47 games. In 57 games on the Bettman circuit, he earned 12 points.
Harris quickly had to take on bigger tasks in the Habs' young defensive squad. Despite the team's struggles this season, he maintained an honest differential of -6.
The player selected at the 71st level in the 2018 draft arrived in the NHL in 2021-2022 after a stint four seasons in the American college ranks with Northeastern University. He scored his first goal in the last game of the last campaign, on April 29.
