Announced the composition of the judging panel in the qualifying match of Euro 2020 qualifier between Portugal and Ukraine.
Main referee of the match Portugal – Ukraine appointed 39-year-old Frenchman Clement Stavrev, according to UEFA’s official website. Features side assistants will take over This Nicolas and Cyrille Gringore, and Benoit Mello will act as the fourth referee.
Stavrev serving international matches since 2011. In qualification for the 2014 world Cup team of Ukraine in judging the Frenchman on the road shared the points with Moldova (0:0), and in qualification for the 2018 world Cup played in a draw against Iceland (1:1). In that match Stavrev in the end a penalty was awarded against the visitors for a foul on Bogdan Butko, but Yevhen Konoplyanka with 11-meter mark hit the post.
At the club level with the Ukrainian clubs Stavrev last time I crossed paths last summer. In the playoffs of qualification of League of Champions “the Dynamo” with the score 1:3 lost to Amsterdam “Ajax”.
Qualifying match for the Euro 2020 qualifier between Ukraine and Portugal will take place on 22 March in Lisbon at the home stadium of Benfica’s “estádio da Luz”.
