Jul: minus 15 kilos for his big comeback at the Stade Vélodrome, “I feel fresh!”

Jul is back with his album “Extraterrestrial” released this Friday, June 3, 2022 Jul is back is not just a little. To celebrate the release of his new album “Extraterrestre” available since Friday June 3, 2022, the Marseille rapper will unveil 20 clips (one for each sound) between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. this Friday and perform at the Stade Vélodrome, emblematic place of Marseilles. A show that he takes very seriously: he revealed that he had lost 15 kilos to give his all on stage. Yes, it is very (very) hot!

In less than 10 years, Jul has had a string of successes… and albums. Since “Dans ma paranoia” released in February 2014, the rapper has been hyperactive: “Extraterrestrial“, released this Friday, June 3, 2022, is already his 25th album, not counting his successes in feat or with Classico Organisé. No wonder he is the biggest seller in the history of French rap. And he does not count du It all ends there! Rather discreet as usual, Jul gave an interview to BFM TV Marseille Provence and confided in his crazy preparation for his new show which will ignite his fans.

Jul took up sport (and not just a little) for his concert at the Vélodrome

For his show at the Stade Vélodrome this Saturday, June 4, 2022, Jul did not do things by halves. In addition to preparing a crazy concert for all his fans, the rapper revealed that he had done everything to be in shape and give the best of himself. So he started dieting and exercising. “I do sports, I lost 15 kilos” he explained to BFM TV Marseille Provence. Yes, 15 kilos, just that! “I continue the sport thoroughly, I am regular, I continue rehearsing, I learned all my sounds. I work out twice a week, I feel fresh!” he added, ready to give everything for the show this Saturday.

It's a dream, a revenge for life

For Jul, performing at the Stade Vélodrome is an event and much more. Before becoming a rapper, he was a steward. Rapping in front of 60,000 people, so it's “a dream, a revenge of life.” he explained. “For me, it's inexplicable , it's incredible (…) I say to myself, thank you my team! I tell myself that hard work pays off. (…) Basically, I thought that I was going to be a lazy person in my life, that I was not going to do anything with my life because my mother was yelling at me because I didn't get up, I didn't wasn't going to work. Suddenly, in music I found that and I'm all in, as if it was my job. (…) I found my thing in music.” he confides. For all those who will not have the chance to see Jul at the Vélodrome, his concert will be broadcast on June 10th on TMC.
