Le président de la collectivité a présenté ce jeudi 15 février le débat d'orientation budgétaire qui servira au vote du budget de l'agglomération.

The presentation of the main avenues for the next budget of the Agglo echoed that presented, three days before, by the same Christophe Rivenq for the budget of the City of Alès .

This Thursday, February 15, in front of the assembly of elected officials gathered for the community council, the president of Alès agglo listed the main points of the debate d&# 39;budgetary orientation (DOB), an essential step for the vote, at the next session, on the community budget.

"An ambitious program"

Thus, just as for the City of Alès, a strong ambition is presented in the investment aspect. After a "record year" in 2023 (with 22 M€), "we are proposing an ambitious program." Up to even "making the largest investments made since the agglomeration existed", with 25 M€ in 2024 then 39 M€ envisaged for 2025. "Competition funds, NPRU, habitats for 2.7 M€… We will also deliver the Anduze temple this year and the renovation will begin du Cratère", cited Christophe Rivenq as an example. To reassure, he told elected officials that half of the amounts committed should come from subsidies. He also invites them to focus on investment for these next two years before possible constraints imposed by the State.

The year 2024, however, promises to be more drastic in terms of operations, with a deficit of 1.4 M&Euro; provoked, again according to the presidency, the macroeconomic situation, the international situation and inflation.

"Doctor" Hideaway

Just like during the last municipal council (again), the presentation of the DOB of the Agglo was also the subject of an intervention by the ;#39;communist opponent Paul Planque, who is worried, with irony, about the health of Christophe Rivenq. "If schizophrenia is considered an illness mental, I wonder about yours" he said. "In Paris, your friends oppose the finance law while here you deride it."

"At almost 60 years old I am a free man and that's good", sent back to him his interlocutor. "I am free, independent. I leave them to their national delusions."
