The Sureté du Québec and the Quebec City Police Force arrested eleven individuals, including five from Quebec, Portneuf and Chaudière-Appalaches, on the crime of child pornography during the period from Tuesday to Thursday.
As Sgt. Two individuals, Benoît Émond, 42, of Val-Morin, and Martin Leduc, 50, of Granby, appeared for producing, possessing, distributing and accessing child pornography.
Four others, André Vaillancourt, 44 years old of Saint-Georges de Beauce, Dominic Soucy, 41 years old of Matane, Réjean Simoneau, 66 years old of Donnacona, and Claude Bouchard, 44 years old of Saint-Césaire, are accused of having owned, distributed and accessed child pornography.
Finally, 35-year-old Michael Cantin-Fradet from Quebec and 47-year-old Stéphane Chartrand from Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac appeared for possession and distribution of child pornography.
Three other people residing in Quebec City, Mont-Tremblant and Valleyfield respectively were arrested on Thursday and will appear Friday for similar charges. The police carried out house searches of the suspects and computer equipment was seized for analysis.
