Kate Middleton a annoncé être atteinte d'un cancer dans une vidéo publiée sur X, ce vendredi 22 mars 2024. Une triste nouvelle que la princesse de Galles a mis de temps a annoncé à ses enfants.

The world is still in shock. After weeks of rumors and speculation, the Princess of Wales broke the silence and revealed in her video published this Friday, March 22, 2024, on chemotherapy since February.

"It was thought that my condition was not cancerous however, tests carried out after the operation revealed the presence of cancer. My medical team therefore advised me to follow preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of this treatment. This was a huge shock, and William and I did everything we could to handle this privately for the sake of our family." she said .

Easter holidays

Before announcing it publicly, the 42-year-old princess took care to inform her three children. In the video, she revealed how she explained things to them

"It took us a while to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that suited them, and to reassure them about the that everything will be fine”, she confided. 

Before continuing: "As I told them: I'm doing well and I'm getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that matter to me. will help to heal; in my mind, body and spirit. Having William by my side is also a great source of comfort and reassurance.”

However, she made sure to choose the right moment: "George, Charlotte and Louis were informed today. William and Kate wanted them to finish their studies by the Easter holidays before going public with the cancer announcement”, wrote ITV editor Chris Ship News, on his account X.
