Kiwanis Mende Les Sources offers €1,500 for children supported by child welfare in Lozère

300 enfants sont suivis par l'Aide sociale en Lozère.

The members of Kiwanis Mende Les Sources came in large numbers to the wishes of the Department of Lozère, at the Langogne multipurpose room, this Thursday, January 11, 2024. In large numbers, and above all loaded with a check, ;an amount of 1,500 euros, which they were going to give to the president of the Department Sophie Pantel so that the children accompanied by Social Assistance for Children (ASE) in Lozère in benefit.

"A little happiness"

There are around 300 children in this case, "who often have extremely complicated life paths and for whom we choose, in Lozère, to encourage family care& ;quot;.  This check should make it possible to bring them “a little happiness, to remind them that they are supported, that they are not forgotten, that they are in our hearts” quot;, said Ginette Brunel, president of Kiwanis, who recalled the mission of this international organization : "Serving the children of the world".

The Kiwanis Mende Les Sources implements this commitment in Lozère, by organizing actions that allow funds to be donated to various structures. For example, the club regularly supports the pediatric department of Mende hospital, or, as is currently the case, child welfare.
