Kylian Mbappé case: the player's entourage is sure that the attacker is the target of a rape complaint

For several days, Kylian Mbappé has been in a media storm after his stay in the Swedish capital. While the Real Madrid player says he is calm, his entourage is convinced that a rape complaint is targeting him.

For several days, the French international has been in the middle of a scandal that is shaking the international press. Kylian Mbappétook advantage of a few days off to travel to Sweden with his former PSG teammate, Nordi Mukiele. But a complaint of rape was reportedly filed by a woman explaining that the events took place in the striker's hotel.

While for the time being, the Swedish press is reassuring and pointing the finger at Kylian Mbappé as the man targeted by this complaint, the justice system in the Nordic country has never mentioned his name. All the more so since Merengue is very calm and has nothing to reproach itself for, as his lawyer Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard assured on Tuesday.

But those close to the player are certain that the complaint filed targets him and that Kylian Mbappé is engaging in “a long, tedious and image-damaging process”, according to information from RMC Sport. If it is presented as "reasonably suspect" in this case, as the Swedish media claim, the striker who has resumed training in Madrid will have to wait for the development of the investigation.

Katrin Krantz, a journalist for Expressen, claims that the player is involved. “We are sure”, she assured our colleagues at TF1. “I can't tell you anything because there is a police investigation underway. And this investigation is strictly confidential", declared the plaintiff's lawyer, Me Petra Eklund.

Me Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard, Kylian Mbappé's lawyer, spoke to the television channel. “We are told about a complaint but at this time, we don't even know against whom. A complaint does not make the truth, does not prove anything and I don't even know, once again, if the complaint is aimed at him”, she indicates.

“He is never alone! He is never exposed to a situation where he would be at risk. And so, as a result, this totally excludes the fact that there could have been any reprehensible actions on his part,” the lawyer said confidently. ““He is particularly calm. On the other hand, he is totally flabbergasted to see this kind of media frenzy and does not understand at all what he could be accused of, near or far", she adds.
