The Sûreté du Québec has arrested four men early Tuesday morning on the lawyer reached by a bullet at his residence in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, in the Montérégie region, on march 26.
In addition to these arrests, three searches were underway in Longueuil and Brossard.
The suspects are aged 26, 27, 35 and 45 years of age and were interviewed by investigators of the major crimes.
Two of them would be the individuals that would be presented at the door of Nicholas Daudelin, attorney specialized in civil and commercial litigation, employment law, and health law. The other two would be accomplices.
On march 26, unknown persons presented themselves at the door of the lawyer of 32 years, on the street of Passerins, but the latter has refused to open. One of them would have then fired through the door, reaching Nicholas Daudelin in the leg.
The victim was then transported to the hospital, but his life was not in danger.
Police believe that these four men have worked for the account of another person.
According to investigators, the victim had nothing to do with organized crime.
At the time of the event, I Daudelin represented financial institutions in a history of fraud. The police have raised the hypothesis that these two events could be related, but the investigation is still ongoing.
