The prime minister François Legault plans to tackle the percentage of employees working part-time in NURSING homes while unions are worried about seeing an inequity between the new orderlies and those who were already in post.
“There are 50% of employees who work part-time, it is a real problem, a problem that exists pretty much just in Quebec,” said Mr. Legault, who was on Friday in the sector of Beaupré, on the occasion of his tour of the regions.
“There is not a private organization that would be able to function with half of its part-time employees. This is a problem that must be rectified”, he added.
