Five of the nine candidates in the presidential majority come from the Horizons party, created by Edouard Philippe. A not so trivial detail with the objective of occupying the ground and gaining strength.

"We're not here to tap dance !" That's& rsquo;is said. From Philippe Huppé, candidate for the 4th constituency of Hérault. Jean-François Eliaou, a doctor by profession, competing in the 3rd, sells his fight differently: the situation is serious, "there are us and the two extremes, between the plague and cholera, we are the antibiotic." So the legislative elections are serious.

This Monday, however, the Horizons party, dear to Edouard Philippe, held an unusual press conference on the terrace of Cigales, in Les Arceaux, in Montpellier. The first of its kind? Not quite. Under the leadership of Jean-François Audrin, mayor of Saint-Georges-d’Orques, a first initiative was organized last April to present the Montpellier committee of the party of the mayor of Le Havre and former Prime Minister. minister. A municipal meeting, therefore, today the legislative elections. But Horizons sees further, higher.

"The presidential majority is dead, Emmanuel Macron killed it"

Because it is time to really make yourself known, to stand out from Renaissance, the party of Emmanuel Macron. Jean-François Audrin did not hesitate to take up his mentor:“The presidential majority is dead, Emmanuel Macron killed it. It's not me who says it, it's our leader.” Where were the Renaissance candidates this Monday morning ? “They must be busy", quips the Horizons departmental manager. He will, however, remain discreet about the number of local members: “In France, there are 27,000 of us. And locally, we are increasingly present. We have five Horizons candidates in the department. After the department of Seine-Maritime, where Edouard Philippe was elected, we have the most Horizons candidates." Hence the arrival this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. of the former Prime Minister in Saint-Georges-d’Orques. To define him, everyone has only one word on their lips: "He is a man of the future." 2027 is tomorrow.
