The New Popular Front has reached an agreement. Lucie Castets, spokesperson and co-founder of the collective Nos Services Public has been proposed for the post of Prime Minister. She accepted.

Finally in agreement, the four parties of the left are proposing Lucie Castets, a senior civil servant committed to defending public services, for Matignon according to several concordant sources.

After 16 days of negotiations

The New Popular Front agreed on Tuesday to propose to the President of the Republic the name of Lucie Castets, a senior civil servant committed to the defense of public services, for the post of Prime Minister. Minister.

Ms. Castets is involved in the "associative struggles for the defense and promotion of public services", but also "in the fight of ideas against retirement at 64" and she is a "senior civil servant having worked on the repression of tax fraud and financial crime", specifies a press release from the NFP, which validated its name after 16 days of negotiations.

“A person very committed to hospitals and social justice”

The NFP, which has been claiming the post of Prime Minister since it came out on top in the legislative elections, but without an absolute majority, believes that Ms. Castets will be “strong in our complete commitment to her in the government that she will lead”.
