A young 18 year old man died on motorcycle in the night of Saint-Jean-Baptiste after having struck the wall of a viaduct at Lévis.
The tragic accident occurred in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday on the way to Industrial, to the height of the rue de Bernières, where a new viaduct was inaugurated a year ago.
The young motorcyclist was heading towards Saint-Nicolas, from Saint-Étienne.
According to the first findings of the police, rather than committing to the right to continue his journey, he continued his route in the direction of a cul-de-sac.
“We don’t know if he did not know the configuration or if there has been loss of control, but he finished his race in the wall of the viaduct that passes over”, explains the spokesperson of the police Department of the City of Lévis, Maxime Pelletier.
The death of the victim, a native of Saint-Raymond in Portneuf, has sadly been found on-site. His identity had not been released Wednesday morning.
It is a bandwidth who has observed the sad scene and informed the emergency services a little after midnight. However, it is unknown at what time the event occurred precisely.
Of reconstitutionnistes of the Sûreté du Québec have joined with municipal police to begin an investigation to establish the circumstances and causes of the event.
