Levis: an athlete of 22 years old arrested for sexual offences on minors

Lévis: un athlète de 22 ans arrêté pour infractions d’ordre sexuel sur mineurs

A young man of 22 years of Lévis was arrested, Thursday, for four sexual offences on multiple victims were minors.

The police Department of the City of Lévis (SPVL) indicates the investigation was initiated in early June of 2020, when a situation of child luring has been reported.

The suspect, Thierry Pellerin, is a world-class athlete and was often in contact sports minor. Pellerin attracted and communicated with his victims through the social networks, specifies the SPVL by way of a press release.

It is the result of the issuance of a search warrant and an arrest warrant that he was apprehended in his residence. The Module technology of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has also been put to contribution during the search of the house to attend the SPVL and analysis of electronic materials.

The suspect is expected to appear in court at the courthouse in Quebec city on Friday. He is accused of luring a person under the age of 18 years, invitation to sexual touching, the making of child pornography and transmission of sexually explicit material to a minor.

The authorities have reason to believe that Pellerin could have other victims and urge anyone who may possess information, to communicate with the SPVL.
