Libre de tout contrat, l’ancien joueur du PSG et de la Juventus Turin Adrien Rabiot s’est engagé avec l’OM ce dimanche 15 septembre au soir, a annoncé le club phocéen.
Moments after several media outlets announced that discussions had begun between the PSG-trained player and the Marseille club, OM itself announced that the two parties had reached an agreement.
"Olympique de Marseille announced that it had reached an agreement in principle with Adrien Rabiot for the arrival of the French international midfielder at the club. The player will sign with OM subject to the results of the medical examination”, announced a press release published this Sunday evening.
Top recruit
Aged 29, Rabiot left Juventus this summer at the end of his contract. He played with the Italian club from 2019 to 2024. He arrived in Turin on a free transfer from Paris SG. Champion of Italy in 2020 and six times champion of France with PSG, Rabiot has 48 caps with the French team, with which he was vice-world champion in 2022.
He was a starter with Didier Deschamps' team during the last Euro, which the Blues finished in the semi-finals. He was not called up during the last gathering because, without a club, he has not played since the start of the season.
Rabiot is therefore a real top recruit for Olympique de Marseille, who have embarked on a three-year project, embodied by their new coach Roberto De Zerbi.
