Two days before the end of the transfer window, the young Rabby Nzingoula, first recruit, was loaned by Strasbourg. And Chotard is on his way out.
A first recruit: the young Rabby Nzingoula two days before the end of the transfer window (August 30). Montpellier pushes the suspense to its peak and plays with everyone's nerves at the end of the summer of all tensions.
Managers, players and supporters are waiting to know the profile of the possible replacement for Joris Chotard, who is about to leave, to face Nantes on Saturday (7 p.m.) at La Mosson during the 3rd day of Ligue 1.
Chotard on the way out
Where will Joris Chotard, the main market value of a transfer window that is coming to an end, land? The verdict is imminent. The young midfielder (22 years old), who trained on Wednesday in Grammont, had several options. In Germany or Porto.
More than Frankfurt, it is Wolfsburg who have gone on the offensive. The Lower Saxony club made an initial offer, according to information from L'Équipe, to president Laurent Nicollin, before raising the bid.

The Olympic silver medallist with the Bleuets could therefore be the third Montpellier player to wear the colours of the German club after Nicolas Cozza and Jérôme Roussillon.
In addition to Chotard, Jordanian international striker Mousa Tamari is still attracting interest from Gulf clubs.
One or two replacements in sight
Montpellier has already anticipated the departure of Joris Chotard. It has made Swiss international from Mainz (Germany): Edimilson Fernandes its priority. This midfielder trained in Sion (28 years old) has a wealth of experience after playing at West Ham (England), Fiorentina (Italy) and therefore at Mainz since 2019.
The athletic Swiss international (30 caps), not selected for the last German Euro, can play in central defense, as in the first half of last season, or in midfield.

In addition, Montpellier has obtained the loan without an option to buy by Rabby Nzingoula with the Strasbourg club, chaired by Marc Keller.
This athletic midfielder is a young player (18 years old), who has only made six brief appearances in Ligue 1. He has just strengthened a squad that transferred midfielders Sacha Delaye (Austria Lustenau) and Léo Leroy (Basel) during the close season.
