Ligue 1: return confirmed for Tamari in an MHSC group without Jullien against Metz

L'ailier jordanien sera bien présent dans les rangs montpelliérains pour affronter Metz, ce dimanche à la Mosson, selon le groupe pailladin dévoilé ce samedi 17 février. 

He comes back. As announced by Midi Libre and expected after Michel Der Zakarian's press conference on Friday, winger Mousa Tamari will take part in the MHSC meeting against FC Metz, this Sunday (3 p.m.) at La Mosson. The Jordanian was selected this Saturday in a group of twenty players which also includes the returns of Dimitry Bertaud and Khalil Fayad.

Tamari, author of a first-rate Asian Cup ending in a historic final against Qatar (3-1), had sowed doubt this week about his state of health. The fault lies in a dislocation of a shoulder contracted during this same final, last Saturday. 

But the striker returned to training on Friday, confirming the optimism born from reassuring tests. "If he trains, he is fit", Michel Der Zakarian told the media. The coach walked his talk this Saturday by calling on his winger but also the Swiss defender, Becir Omeragic, who was suffering from a foot injury. 

Khazri not retained, Metz decimated ?

The technician also recalled Khalil Fayad, absent against Lyon, and Dimitry Bertaud, back this week from an African Cup finished in 4th place with DR Congo . 

He will, however, have to do without defender Christopher Jullien, injured in the arch, and winger Axel Guéguin, victim of a serious knee injury. Wahbi Khazri, for his part, would not have been summoned, while the MHSC has for the first time in a long time an offensive sector without a major absentee.

This is far from being the case in Metz where Laszlo Bölöni would have to deal with a decimated environment. Besides Ndoram and Jallow, injured, the Grenats will undoubtedly be deprived of Sabaly, Camara but also Jean Jacques, this Sunday.
