[LIVE] Quebec provides an update on the evolution of the pandemic

UPGRADE DAY

COVID-19 cases have been on the rise for four weeks, particularly among people aged 70 and over and health care workers, says Christian Dubé.

Currently , although the number of hospitalizations is on the rise in the province, this is not exponential at the moment, and the impacts are not being felt in intensive care, noted the CAQ MP tipped to take over the portfolio of Health.

“Our health network remains very fragile, we must find the means to limit the impact on the network, and that involves vaccination,” insisted Christian Dubé, who reminds the population, particularly those over 60, to get their booster dose.

He nevertheless applauds the rate of vaccination, which is constant. “We must maintain it in the coming weeks.”

In addition, Pfizer's bivalent vaccine, adapted to the variant of COVID-19, will arrive in Quebec in the coming days.
