Local heritage revealed on Saturday and Sunday

For this 41st edition of the European Heritage Days, Olargues, labeled Most Beautiful Village in France and more recently, New Town of the Middle Ages, will welcome many visitors.
This Saturday, September 21, at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., two guided tours of the Saint-Laurent church are offered with a summary of the history of the churches of the Barony of Olargues, the discovery of the paintings of the Béziers painter Déjean (1836), of the Montpellier painter Bestieu, classified and registered paintings, as well as works of Romantic style in the church and objects listed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments, the organ, built in the years 1845-1850 by Abbé Clergeau and installed in the church in 1900.
Sunday, September 22, at 6 p.m., the AMVJO is organizing a concert in the Saint-Laurent church with Agnès Alibert (soprano) and Marc Chiron (organ). Visits and concert are free.
