Le 2e salon des métiers, qui a attiré près de 5 000 visiteurs ce samedi 25 mai dans la petite sous-préfecture héraultaise, présentait beaucoup de secteurs qui recrutent.
Around sixty stands, numerous activities, exhibitions of outfits, equipment, vehicles, very spectacular demonstrations for some… hellip; The public, who came in large numbers in the morning, were not mistaken. A successful bet for the mayor of Bosc, Jérôme Valat and his team who have spared no effort in recent weeks to organize their 2nd forum for defense and security professions this Saturday, May 25 in Lodève, with the complicity of the City and the community of communes Lodévois and Larzac.
Make connections with the population and recruit
"This is an opportunity to meet passionate professionals, ready to share their experience and expertise with, behind it, a real show. The heroes are all these people who are here, and who work daily for our security" recalls Jérôme Valat by having, like the sub-prefect then the prefect& nbsp; a thought for the prison officials and the gendarmes who died in recent days.

"We recruit in many sectors, which offer the opportunity to travel, the possibility of discovering varied professions and to have a lift social. There is room for everyone and you will have an exciting life" adds Éric Suzanne, addressing young people in particular. It was up to him to close the official speeches under the gaze of the gendarmerie helicopter, in front of the Fouque barracks which now houses two companies of mobile gendarmes.

Two objectives also underlined in the afternoon by the prefect of Hérault who came to Lodève to affirm his strong support for this type of event. "It allows our police officers, gendarmes, municipal police officers, firefighters… to work the link with the population. They are citizens who, in addition, have a function which brings them towards the general interest and which is dangerous, devoted people who risk their lives every day" explains François-Xavier Lauch.

"The second interest is that we have professions there which are recruiting, a lot at the moment. We need to promote it, adds the State representative. I am very happy to be in Lodève, in a symbolic place in front of one of the places in France which has been chosen to install a new squadron of mobile gendarmerie, in a rural area, hit by a high rate of unemployment and these professions represent a need for our nation and a hope for all these young people. This large deployment of force is not time wasted on operational matters, it is essential time to encourage vocations."
