“Love Again”: “Our ode to Celine Dion”

Actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan have nothing but good words for Celine Dion, with whom they share the big screen in the romantic comedy Love Again. To People magazine, the Indian actress did not hesitate to describe the film as “our ode to Céline”.  

Actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan rave about their co-star Celine Dion. Chopra Jonas said she was thrilled to star in Love Again, which she dubs “our ode to Celine.”

“I think having new music [by Celine Dion] is a real blessing. in this movie,” said Priyanka Chopra Jonas, 40, in a recent interview with People magazine. She interprets the character of Mira, a young woman living in mourning for her former lover.

The music of Céline, who is playing her first film role here, plays an important role in the plot of this love film. It is with the help of the singer and thanks to her songs that the two protagonists experience an unexpected connection in Love Again.

Comedian Sam Heughan – the star of the Outlander serieswho plays Rob Burns here – explains that the latter is “very good” and that he was “surprised to see how funny she was” in the film. The singer plays “an essential role” in the story of Rob who must write a profile on the diva Celine Dion and who will find himself enlisting his help in meeting Mira in person, winning her heart.

“Love comes to those who believe in it,” Celine Dion shared on Instagram Tuesday under her feature film poster post.

“I had a lot of fun making this film, explains the 54-year-old singer, who can't wait to unveil the new songs in this through the film shot from October 2020 to January 2021. And have the privilege of appearing with the beautiful and talented actors Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan in my very first feature film is a privilege I will cherish forever.”

Céline believes Love Again is “a wonderful feel-good story” and said she hopes people who watch the film will like her new songs, too.
