Luciano Pavarotti, Guns N’Roses, Elvis Presley, … this is the playlist Donald Trump rocked to during his rally
|In the middle of a campaign meeting, Donald Trump cut short his questioning session with his voters to listen to music. A sequence that lasted almost 40 minutes. His rival Kamala Harris took the opportunity to question the health of the candidate for the White House.
Donald Trump was in “town hall,” a question-and-answer session with his voters, in Oaks, Pennsylvania. The session, in a room that was apparently poorly air-conditioned, was interrupted when two people became unwell, requiring emergency services to intervene.
“What if we had a music festival ?”
The meeting had only been underway for 30 minutes when, during the interruption, the candidate asked “What if we had a music festival ? Let's stop the questions, let's listen to some music”.
He then asked that his playlist be played starting with Luciano Pavarotti's “Ave Maria”. Then for almost 40 minutes, the former president's playlist played all his favorite songs.
Among the titles on his playlist, "YMCA" which is a staple of Trump meetings, but also "Con Te Partiro" by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, "Hallelujah" performed by Rufus Wainwright, "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinéad O’Connor, "An American Trilogy" by Elvis Presley, "Rich Men North of Richmond' by Oliver Anthony, "November Rain" by Guns N'Roses.
Since the beginning of the campaign, some artists had made known on their social networks their refusal to hear their title during the candidate's meetings. Among them, Celine Dion, the group ABBA, Beyoncé and the French Woodkid.
Doubts about the health of Donald Trump ?
While he swings microphone in hand on stage to the rhythm of his favorite music, the Democratic camp takes advantage to make fun of. Kamala Harris' campaign team posted the clip, saying that “Trump appears lost, confused and frozen on stage.” A tweet to which the candidate responded, “I hope he's doing well.”
On his Truth Social platform, Trump has claimed to be "in much better health than Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden and especially Kamala".
The Republican candidate concluded by saying that “it was different than usual, but it ended up being a GREAT NIGHT.” ;
