Alors que Montpellier sera traversée par la flamme olympique le 13 mai prochain, une rencontre est organisée le 6 février pour interroger les valeurs communes de l'Olympisme et de la Franc-Maçonnerie. 

What do Olympism, sport and Freemasonry have in common ? This question will be debated during a meeting on Tuesday February 6, at the Rabelais room, in Montpellier. Marie-George Buffet, former Minister of Sports (1997-2002) and president of the National Committee for Ethics in Sport and Thierry Zaveroni, Grand Master of the Loge de France are the guests of' honor. 

Meeting moderated by Christophe Bourseiller

This meeting led by Christophe Bourseiller will attempt to cross-reference the values ​​conveyed by the Olympic Games and Freemasonry in the form of four round tables, reminiscent of the rings of Olympism . Each will be made up of four people on the themes of Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and Solidarity with the combined perspectives of Marie-George Buffet and Thierry Zaveroni. Re-elected in 2023 Grand Master of the Lodge of France, the latter defends "committed humanism and transmission to younger generations". 

The Olympics will kick off on July 26 in Paris but Montpellier, stage city of the Olympic Flame, will host it on May 13, as will Millau and Sète .
