The Liberal Party of Quebec has chosen the brand new activist Émilie Nollet, 35, as a candidate in the by-election in the riding of Marie-Victorin.
Unknown to the public and a recent member of the PLQ, Émilie Nollet is a researcher at Saint Paul University in Ottawa and an entrepreneur. The PLQ will present her to the population at the end of the morning on Sunday.
She is director and co-founder of the company Heptagone, which develops strategies in terms of inclusion, diversity and employment equity.
This is the second candidate announced to succeed former MP Catherine Fournier, now Mayor of Longueuil.

The Parti Québécois recently announced that Pierre Nantel, former NDP MP in Ottawa, will be a nomination contestant in this constituency.
The by-election in Marie-Victorin is due to take place in early 2022, Prime Minister François Legault said.
