MIAMI | The u.s. city of Jacksonville, which will be held in August the national convention of the republican party, has made Monday wearing a mask mandatory for its residents, in response to the progression of infection with the novel coronavirus.
The announcement was made by the councillors of this town to the north of Florida. Mr. Trump had chosen Jacksonville, because it was conducive to a large popular gathering for his official enthronement as the party’s candidate for the presidential election in November. The republican convention was originally scheduled from 24 to 27 August in North Carolina.
