The station first attempted to use the emergency engine before turning to the last resort.

  • Listen to the interview with Josée Cusson, communication-marketing director at the Association des stations de ski du Québec on the Philippe-Vincent Foisy show broadcast via QUB radio:

According to Isabelle Vallée, director communications, the initial shutdown occurred around 12:30 p.m.

About half of the gondolas are occupied by skiers since traffic is not at its peak at this time of year. the season.

As of 3:30 p.m., the evacuation of all customers inside was not complete. People have therefore been stuck on board for more than three hours.
