MHR: Stuart Hogg uncertain, Paul Willemse on the bench and Arthur Vincent out in Bayonne, South Africans expected on Monday

Le MHR se déplace à Bayonne ce samedi 28 septembre avec un effectif un poil remanié par rapport à la semaine dernière.
Few problems but some uncertainties. Concussed against Stade Toulousain (11-20 defeat) last weekend, Arthur Vincent must observe a week of rest before returning to the field. He is therefore out of the trip to Bayonne this Saturday. The international center should be fit for Stade Français the following day.
The only concern for the trip to Basque country is the presence or absence of Scot Stuart Hogg. The fullback wore a large strap on his left knee during team training this Thursday. “We will make the decision tomorrow (Friday) to find out whether he will play or not. If he plays, he will be a starter”, assures manager Joan Caudullo, who should not take any risks and line up Julien Tisseron.

Reinach and Van Rensburg expected at training on Monday
In the infirmary, Jan Serfontein (hand) and Anthony Bouthier (knee) are still unavailable. The first South African centre still has at least another month to go, while the international fullback is not expected before January 2025.
Top 14 calendar and ranking
The good news section is, however, quite broad. As expected and announced, Paul Willemse is making his return to the squad. The second row should start on the bench in Bayonne.
Next Monday, Springboks Cobus Reinach and Janse Van Rensburg are expected to train. The former will have played four of the six matches with South Africa during the Rugby Premiership. Second or third row Janse Van Rensburg, called up as reinforcements during the summer, will not have played a minute. “Cobus asked to continue. We made an exception. He will therefore have a vacation later”, explained Caudullo.
For New Zealander Joshua Moorby, he should rather arrive during November.
