MHSC: towards a four-week absence for Pailladin midfielder Joris Chotard ?

The midfielder, as well as Guinean left-back Issiaga Sylla, were injured on Saturday during the defeat against Nantes (1-3).

Two more. Replaced during the first half on Saturday at La Mosson during the defeat (1-3) against Nantes, midfielder Joris Chotard, injured in a calf, and left-back Issiaga Sylla, stopped by a thigh discomfort, are injured and swell the ranks of the Montpellier infirmary.

The Guinean international (30 years old), who gave up his place after ten minutes of play to Enzo Tchato, relapsed. He had missed the first two matches against Strasbourg (1-1) and in Paris (6-0), due to a thigh injury sustained on August 15 in training.

False alarm for Coulibaly

Chotard (22 years old), replaced by the only recruit Rabby Nzingoula in the 39th minute, suffers from a small tear in the soleus, the same injury as the one suffered last spring during the victory in Nice. He then observed three to four weeks of rest before finishing the season without any downtime.

The silver medalist at the Paris Olympics with Thierry Henry's Bleuets will have time to digest the disappointment of the aborted transfer to Wolfsburg (Germany), which offered 7M€, or to Porto.

Conversely, striker Tanguy Coulibaly, who came off after a thigh injury, took part in training with his teammates on Tuesday.

That's not all. Striker Arnaud Nordin, who suffered a hip injury on Friday on the eve of the match against Nantes, and central defender Modibo Sagnan, who has been hampered for several weeks by discomfort in his left knee, did not take part in the first session of a light week during this international period.

The infirmary is overflowing

The Malian international defender, one of the rare satisfactions of this start to the season, has therefore not joined Mali, which must play two qualifying matches for the next CAN. He is not part of the contingent of four internationals (Tamari, Omeragic, Sacko and Bertaud) who have the opportunity to get some fresh air in the national team after Montpellier's false start to the fiftieth anniversary season.

Kiki Kouyaté (knee), Othmane Maamma (thigh), Lucas Mincarelli (knee), Théo Sainte-Luce (thigh), Christopher Jullien (knee) and Axel Guéguin (knee) are, for their part, convalescent for a more or less long period.

That's a lot for a team that has to play four important matches, including three away games (Rennes, Monaco, Reims), before the next international break.
