Michael McCarron back
|MISE À DAY
The past few months have not been easy for Michael McCarron, but he finally seems to be on the mend. On Monday, he could play for the first time in the National Hockey League (NHL) since December.
Two weeks before the holidays, the former NHL draft pick Montreal Canadiens joined the NHL and Players Association assistance program. Upon his return in mid-January, the Nashville Predators placed his name on waivers to return to American League form.
The “Preds” eventually recalled him from the Admirals of Milwaukee on Monday, the day before his 28th birthday. The big right-winger could be in uniform to face the Vancouver Canucks in the evening.
McCarron seemed to carve out a job for good in Nashville last season, but the 2022-2023 campaign has been more complicated . The American has only amassed two points in 15 games. He was slow to hatch in Milwaukee, except that in March, he scored five points in three games, which earned him this recall.
In career in the NHL, the player selected 25th in the 2013 amateur auction total had 24 points in 141 games. He will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
