MONTREAL – An 18 year old man was injured by a weapon in an attempt to murder Sunday around 1: 30 in the Mile End in Montreal.
The police have located the victim on the avenue of the Park, near the rue Saint-Viateur, said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
She was transported to hospital in a critical condition but his life is out of danger, added the officer Véronique Comtois.
The victim was injured by a weapon in an altercation that turned violent between a group of individuals, before they fled on foot in a northern direction.
A perimeter has been erected to protect the scene that the investigators had to analyze in the morning, with the support of technicians, forensic identification, in an attempt to better understand the circumstances of this event.
A dog handler was called to assist and the investigation is still underway, has been provided.
The Park avenue has been closed between rue St-Viateur and Van Horne avenue, as the avenue to Bernard street Hutchison, and Jeanne-Mance.
