The Millavois patisserie Saint-Jacques has opened a store in the town center of Saint-Affrique, rue Baudin. Located on the site of the former Café de la Poste, it overlooks the Place de la Poste.

Mirvette El Jaza, 30 years old, is the co-manager with her brother Samuel, 28 years old. Nadine Agrinier is the seller. The brother and sister took over the Saint-Jacques patisserie in Millau, on the Place du Mandarous, in June 2021. It is a well-known establishment in the glove-making city. "We know of many companies located in both Millau and Saint-Affrique, declares Mirvette El Jaza. One day, during a discussion, a person said to us: why don't you open a store in Saint-Affrique ? Unconsciously, she sowed a seed in our head which germinated . It was early 2023. We thought about it. This same person showed us a little better about the city and we noticed a place that was closed. It was the Café de la Poste. When we visited it, we immediately imagined this location."

The brother and sister bought the premises in the co-ownership and had it renovated. "What appealed to us was the size of the town and the proximity to Millau, underlines the co-manager. Saint-Affrique is a lively town with a superb market on Saturday mornings. There is also the potential for an outdoor terrace in summer." All manufacturing is done in Millau. It is delivered to Saint-Affrique in the morning around 7 a.m.

The bakery, pastries and pastries are homemade as well as the molded chocolates."We offer original and most refined products possible, specifies Mirvette El Jaza . In pastries, there is Rougier de Camarès adapted for Saint-Affrique. It's a spoon biscuit with praline, black sesame and black cherry with a Tiramisu-style mousse. We also offer Laguiole. It's a hazelnut meringue biscuit, with a hazelnut chocolate cream and an insert of vanilla crème brûlée."  A tea lounge area is set up in the store.
