Mineral beauties are on display at the Alès media library

The Alphonse-Daudet media library in Alès is the host, until May 25, of the mineralogical riches stored at IMT Mines-Alès.

The Alphonse-Daudet media library in Alès (MAD) is offering until May 25 the 2nd edition of Minér’Alès, organized by the IMT Mines Alès, where, on the theme Mineral Beauties, several display cases present samples of the wealth of the IMT mineralogical museum.

This exhibition is also a mineral stroll through various regions of the world, including Africa and Brazil, but also Occitania with its Chemin de la Régordane, featuring astonishing specimens of beauty. Calcite and quartz, in all their shapes and colors, are omnipresent, with a focus on minerals from Katanga. But, lovers of precious stones will be able to linger on the blocks of agate, black quartz, opal… hellip; used for making jewelry.

Like so many minerals made by nature for the sole pleasure of the eyes.
