MLS: The Sounders will pay tribute to… Bruce Lee!

The Seattle Sounders unveiled a new jersey on Wednesday that commemorates the 50th anniversary of Bruce Lee's passing.
The jersey features unusual colors for the Washington State roster: red and yellow.
“The yellow accents of the sunburst symbolize 'the center of everything' and are associated with nature, balance and heroism. The hand-drawn dragon design on the jersey represents strength and power,” the club’s website reads.
Sounders minority owner Adrian Hanauer was pleased to announce this. cooperation.
“This uniform has a very unique appearance for the club and we are proud to put it on the field to promote the inspiring life and teachings of Bruce Lee,” he said in a statement.

It was also designed in collaboration with the Bruce Lee Family Company and the Bruce Lee Foundation.

Bruce Lee moved to Washington State in 1959 for high school. He returned there later to found his martial arts school, the Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute, whose doors are still open. He died at the age of 32 in Seattle.
