The resolution of the TV is 132 megapixels
At a time when 4K TVs with large diagonals only began to appear in our homes, the world is developing a 8K panel, which suddenly became “obsolete”. Sony introduced the world’s first giant display with a resolution of 16K (15360 x 8640, 132 megapixels).
The announcement of a new display with such an incredible 16K resolution took place at the exhibition of the National Association of broadcasters in Las Vegas. Dimensions wide angle panel which is 20 to 5 meters. This panel has 16 times higher resolution than 4K and 64 times higher than 1080p. A 20-metre display is built with the use of MicroLED technology developed by Sony Crystal LED.
TV was built on technology MicroLED already working in the Japanese airport of Haneda
One of the goals of display with ultra-high resolution – make the image as realistic as possible. On the big screen half the size of a truck, the pixel density should still exceed 50 ppi (pixels per inch) to match the density of most consumer TVs with 1080p resolution. For a viewing distance more than 3 meters that’s what it takes most people to not notice individual pixels.

Despite the fact that the standard 16K was adopted 5 years ago, technically this TV was only in 2019. Now the TV is located in the Haneda airport and is used for demonstration of promotional videos ultra high definition.
