The Société du parc Jean-Drapeau unveiled on Tuesday the program for the winter season with the novelty of a skaters' trail, accessible every day from December 18.
The trail will be illuminated in the evening with occasional DJ shows to offer the public “a unique Nordic experience,” said the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau.
The extended program until March 22, there are three cross-country ski trails of 300 meters, 800 meters on Île Sainte-Hélène and 5.4 kilometers on Île Notre-Dame.
An initiation trail will also be made available to fans of oversized tire bicycles, according to the SPJD.
Climbing enthusiasts are not forgotten by the SPJD, since the climbing wall of the park will be transformed into a wall of ice where climbers can indulge their Ingres violin.
Rental equipment will be available, some of which will be free for Montrealers. e under 17, said the SPJD.
The vaccination passport will not be required to practice the activities, according to the organization which specifies that it will still enforce the health measures in force .
