A plume of smoke was visible in the sky in Montreal Saturday, at the end of the day, while a fire was burning in a residential building in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.
The plume could be seen up on the South Shore around supper time.
The flames that had appeared a few minutes previously at the rear of a residential building on Marquette street, in the alley, at the corner of the rue De Fleurimont, has indicated that the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal.
The fire department reported that six people had to be evacuated and taken care of by the Red Cross. Fortunately, nobody was injured, has added.
A little before 19h, the blaze was in the process of being mastered. All in all, a sixty firefighters had to be called on the spot to fight the flames.
The Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal has not been advanced on the possible cause of this fire. For the moment, the file has not been transferred to the investigators of the fire service or the police.
